I am Terrie Stadller
I write books for children. My first book “Who’s Knocking At My Door?”
is a story based on a true incident
when a very determined softshell turtle brazened up to the front door.
He out stretched his thick muscled arm and managed to pound against it creating a loud scratchy sound.
I introduced different animals, pond lifeforms and the freedoms they maintained.
I believed this was the method that children would remember.
It was harmonizing and comforting.
I also added many illustrations of animals and various aquatic lifeforms.
In the interest of truth, only animals that were seen in the pond area were included.
